Trauma, Pain, and Loss: A Story of Faith and Healing

Illness and healthcare confront us with some of the most shattering life circumstances: death, grief, loss, fear, and pain, all of them forces that threaten our faith. And yet, God is present throughout, pouring out His grace in ways we might not readily discern in the daily frenzy of hospital work.

I was delighted to have a conversation with Matt Tully from Crossway about the challenges of working in medicine, and the solace to be gleaned from the Gospel. Links to the podcast appear below!

Lovely interview! Thanks for keeping me company while I ate lunch and mopped the kitchen and bathroom. I need mental stimulation while I clean. Love!

Wow. This is probably the most relatable and encouraging conversation I’ve heard on this topic. I’m a South African doctor and have felt the deep burden of this, especially when working in the ED. God has given you a very unique situation to speak into. Praise Him for His goodness!
