When Story Meets Suffering Theology

In On Fairie Stories, Tolkien argued that truly great stories thrill us because they echo gospel truth. Colleen Chao’s new middle grade novel, Out of the Shadow World, fits that model.     Our little 2-year old granddaughter is diagnosed with NF1 & soon to start chemo therapy. Our daughter took her to Johns Hopkins children’s oncology center yesterday for her initial consultation. She mentioned all of the children in the waiting area with PICC lines ready to receive their treatments.

    Thanks for writing a book on this subject Kathryn! Just purchased a copy and will read it to her. She likes being read to. Blessings!
