I’m not usually a huge devotional fan, preferring to work through a book of the Bible systematically, but this book is just too good not to share. Daily Joy releases from Crossway today, and wow, is it beautiful.

The list of contributors is enough to draw your attention: Joni Eareckson Tada, Nancy Guthrie, Gloria Furman, Jen Wilkin, Trillia Newbell. . . so many sisters (and a few brothers) with hearts for the Lord and a special gift for expositing Scripture.

The entries are saturated in wisdom and God’s word. I’ve already benefited from several of them, and expect this book to become a regular part of my morning prayer time, as I take a moment before the craziness of the day to meditate on His word and reflect upon His goodness in all circumstances. I also anticipate this will be a gift for many, many of my sisters in Christ this year (shhh, don’t tell).
